We made short pitstop on our way home from Louisiana to visit family before heading North for the Summer. Exactly a year earlier we were at another Jellystone Park in Cherokee, NC taking a week long RV trip to see if we were crazy to consider doing this full time. We made plans to stop at the Jellystone Park for a few days to plan a little travel break and have a little fun mid-way along our route. There are many different ways to enjoy RV living and campgrounds vary greatly. With little kids no-one does it better than Yogi bear.
We started the morning playing on the playground and then sharing a wagon ride with Darci's new favorite bear. A year ago she wasn't so sure about that giant silent bear. My has she grown in our travels. Our once very shy little girl is now very brave and wants to meet every person and animal she sees. After the wagon ride we ducked in from the heat for some painted crafts.
A new water park is currently under construction so instead of riding on water slides and getting soaked Darci and I took wagon ride again in the afternoon. This time the ride was much, much wetter. With fire hoses and water guns along the route everyone got the opportunity to cool down. Piper had fun getting into the action spraying the wagon as it made multiple trips by our campsite.
A late night watching an outdoor movie and roasting marshmallows over a campfire wrapped up this short visit. Tomorrow we will be back in Alabama for a couple weeks for some much needed time visiting with family!
