Family vacation - first week long RV camping trip.
When considering our dream of traveling full-time with 2 young kids, we decided to use a planned family vacation as an opportunity to take the RV life for a test drive.
Finding campgrounds that are truly kid friendly can be a challenge, and finding campgrounds with activities for very young children is even more difficult. The Jellystone Park Camp Resorts do a fantastic job of planning entertainment relating to different themed weeks throughout the season. We had fun making crafts, watching movies, going on wagon rides, playing candy-bar bingo, and enjoying the many games and play areas around the park.
Convenient to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Cherokee, NC is also where the Blue Ridge Parkway begins and is very convenient to sights such as Gatlinburg, TN, Cades Cove, Clingman's Dome, and Asheville, NC just to name a few. Outdoor adventures abound in this area of the mountains of Western North Carolina.
Darci has always been afraid of life size cartoon characters, but after a few days of seeing Yogi and his friends in the campground she worked up the bravery to go from waving hi to giving full-on hugs.
One thing we can't get enough of is discovering critters of all shapes and sizes. These two certainly get the heebie-jeebies but they aren't afraid to discover and get to know all of natures inhabitants.
