Graveyard Fields

Updated: Mar 4, 2018

One of our favorite hikes to date, Graveyard Fields is located near mile marker 419 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We took only the short route to the Second Falls and then completed the Graveyard Fields Loop. This was a very easy hike with incredibly varying environments from mangroves to open fields.

Anywhere there is a steep incline there are well maintained steps built along the path.

Second falls cascades down a series of rocks leading to a fun stream where many people are able to find areas to relax in the sound of the water while enjoying picnics and photo opportunities.

Many board walks lead across marshier areas of the trail leading through new growth areas that are still low enough to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains.

Growing as a family and being there to kiss the boo-boos is what it is all about.

About Us

We are Seth & Laura and this is our story of why we decided to rewrite our life as we travel with our 2 little girls. We aren’t entirely sure where the story is going, but we do know it is an adventure tale filled with campfires, moonlit nights, animal encounters of all shapes and sizes, and lots of fun. Perhaps our story will inspire you to tear up your life’s manuscript and live out some of your own dreams, but at a minimum, if you have found this site, we hope it brings a little joy to your day.
