Bandy Creek Campground in Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area
We absolutely love exploring new places, and love it even more when we get the chance to share those experiences with friends and family. After spending a few months in Louisiana we were taking a few weeks to catch up with family before heading North to Maine for the Summer. Fortunately there are other RVers in our family.
We were very lucky that our travel plans worked out for a full week visit in North Eastern Tennessee at Big South Fork. We meet up as often as we can with my parents who travel many months of the year in their small 'modern' vintage style camper. The girls love any opportunity to have fun with their grandparents. On this trip, my sister and her family who also RV camp when they can also managed to come along. We basically surrounded the playground with our 3 campsites and filled the week with hikes, Kentucky bourbon tours, swimming, bike riding, campfires, lots of great food, and fun times.
You can read more about a couple of our hikes and see pictures here:
While we may not see family as often as we did before we started traveling, when we are together we get much more quality time to enjoy each other's company. Instead of getting together for a short dinner, we now tend to get together for a few days and enjoy activities together. These times spent with family have greatly enriched our lives over the past year and we are planning more opportunities to connect in the future.
